I do not believe I have disclosed this to many people, but I deem it to be appropriate because of this tragic news. My introduction into videogame started with the speedy blue Hedgehog named, Sonic. Since, then playing as virtual characters in amazing virtual landscapes became an everlasting interest. My first console was technically the Sega Genesis, but I had that system very briefly as a child. The more memorable console I owned was the Game Cube. The cube shaped peripheral brought my brother and cousins into fun adventures, which led to many sleepless nights. Mario Party 7 and Jame’s Bond: Golden Eye were our favorite. Golden Eye being the game in which “Jaystonee” was born!

Needless to say, Nintendo was the start of interest into videogame, which has matriculated into being a videogame researcher.

Mr. Iwata, your hardwork, charisma, and tenacity paved the way for many innovations within the gaming world. Your legacy will always live on! You willed be truly missed. Rest in Peace Iwata-san!
